If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Good morning everyone Well I finally got the go ahead for remicade treatment. My first infusion is wednesday and to be honest Im kinda scared and very excited all at the same time. It will be so nice to be able to move if this works I have had a very bad couple of months actually year but been real bad lately. Anyways the doctor called to explain and I was told to take benedryl and 2 regular tylenol prior to treatment. Now I understand the benedryl but the tylenol? Is this going to hurt? Also I have heard of people feeling rather ill after. How long and what kind of sick is it? It's funny I have been looking forward to this day now for awhile but now that its here Im freaking out. Desperation to feel normal again has led me down the biologic road a road I always said I wouldnt take but am now very open to it since everything else has failed . Any input, experiences and such would be great. Hope everyone has a great day Nat

Nat- I was on Remicade for awhile. I didn't think it hurt at all and had no bad reactions during the infusions. We are used to a great deal of pain so a little needle going in is no big deal. My sister is on Remicade for her AS now and she is very active with two kids and owning her own shops. She can go all day, and I am just amazed at how well it works for her. Keep us posted. Pain relief for you will be coming soon with the help of Remicade . Shari

Nat, This might sound sad, but it is my favorite place to go anymore. I look forward to my infusions. The staff is the best and they make you so comfortable. I make my appt.s at 10:30 each time and they give me an awesome lunch.
They put in a small amount of steroid before they put in the Remicade and I haven't had any side effects. Well, I did, when they started but that was because they start you back to back and that gave me thrush but I took some Diflucan for 5 days and it was gone. When I started going every 6 weeks, it was all good.
Take a book or your computer. It's normal to be apprehensive when you haven't done it before but you will get used to it. Let us know how it goes.
