Soymilk doesn't have much of the bean solids in it. It does have some of the soy protein, which is fairly hard to digest (because it is unfermented, unlike traditional forms of soy) and thus tends to cause food intolerance in people who eat a lot of it because they are already intolerant to dairy. So, even if it is not starchy, moderation is a good idea -- and be watching for signs that your digestion does not approve of it.

I know, right? If you ever buy Silk light soymilk I would test it, as it is made from soybean flour rather than the whole beans. This makes it lower in fat, lower in calories. I don't buy it, I just happened to notice it, and wondered if it would test as starchy compared to the others. Best wishes!

Hi Kristenego, what brand of soy milk was it? I know others have tested soymilk and found it to be starchy in the past, but perhaps this brand you mention is differently formulated.
