If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

The Cloud is big business now, but I know there are still some problems with it. It also is still reliant on someone somewhere having all that information on a "real" storage system, so still at risk to some extent.
I did think though that in the NHS the CHI numbering was doing the same kind of thing - giving you a national number so any NHS doctor or medical service could access information tagged to it. Same in NZ with the NHI numbers. Doesn't allow all information to be accessed by everyone within the system, but definitely helps with things like imaging and test results, and allows your core records to be "transportable".
I do like the idea of the cloud as an easier way for patients to access their own stuff though. Next step would be an app for it.

can't wait til all my medical records are on-line, for me to simply enter a username and password and have access to everything. vs running around and having to ask doctors constantly to copy things, a waste of their time and mine. already most of my records are electronically available for all my doctors. all i had to do was sign a form saying they could all share. one less thing i have to track down. better and quicker than faxing. i do think its the wave of the future!

So tired of signing for my medical reports, records, and imaging to be sent to this Dr. and that Dr. and then they don't send it. This is why I always request a copy for myself to take with me. Tired of that too and I don't always get a copy either. Too tired and have no energy to deal with all of this anymore. I hope they think of something that works.
