If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Trying to find that elusive job

My son is getting married this August. He and his fiance are both very frugal but it still costs a lot to get married. I am trying to find a second job to help pay for some of the expenses. It is proving very difficult. I am debating whether or not to go back to waitressing two nights a week. I'm afraid, if I do, I will have to start using more anti-inflammatories.

is there somewhere you can waitress where the pace is slower and so the job will be less demanding? vs a high volume / fast paced environment? good luck with it

I had to stop waitressing about 2 years ago because of AS (pain between shoulder blades, SI joint pain). The same restaurant has offered me a job. I am hoping that working only two nights a week will be okay. If not, I'll go down to one.

maybe you could work the less busy nights?
of course not as many tips that way.
in any case, good luck with it! i can imagine it could be a challenging job to have when having the kinds of pains we have.

Are there other jobs in the restaurant that aren't quite as physical? Like being the hostess/front of house person, rather than an actual waitress. Good luck with it anyway, and I hope you can make it work for you.

Hi Teri One of our members here at KA checked out a whole bunch of 'work from home' jobs and weeded out the scams from the legitimate jobs and posted all of the results here, I'm trying to remember who the poster was or the title of the thread...or perhaps someone else will see this and know where to find it(was 4 or 5 years ago)...it was a great thread!
