pspondylitis,
I'm going to repeat what I said before: the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche showed us with his work that we humans tend to Will something and later we construct arguments and rationalizations in order to defend our will. I really think that you didn't want the diet to work from the start, and if that's the case there are many ways in which you could have sabotaged it.
Many here have discovered that one ingredient that we were still using was the cause that the healing didn't advance. For instance, milk + sugar is bad for me, and none of that is starch, and I had to learn it the bad way even though others have pointed out that milk was bad for them. I'm not even allergic to milk but it did feed my Klebs.
It might be this the case, or it simply might be that the diet doesn't work for you. But the diet does work for others like me. Me too had a very difficult time leaving in the past foods that made 90% of mi diet, my comfort foods.
As with religion, if you don't believe in the diet please respect others who do. We might be close minded as you call us but we are pretty happy to have encountered with this alternative and specially with those who stay and help others, those who take their time and money to keep this non-profit site up.
If it works for some, then is reality, then is bigger than science.
Maybe the time will come when research finds exactly why it has worked for some, and maybe then the sacrifices will not have to be so many and you will benefit from it, but others think that we don't have time to spare and whatever works, well, works.
In the mean time, adopting the NSD won't hurt you even if doesn't ease your pain: I eat healthier, have lost a few extra pounds and have more energy, and also sleep non-stop until morning. I include proteins and carbs and a lot of fiber in my diet, I cannot think I'm missing anything that my body needs.
I ask you only one thing: Please respect others who tried to inform you and others that have success with the diet. I'm really sorry it didn't work for you.
Truthfully,
chicharito
