she asked me if I had arthritis in this shoulder. it is the shoulder i have had the most problems with and the one i had an MRI on last year and was Dx as Tendonitis.

and now i will go back another time and ask for more info. But has anyone else had RMT tell you they feel Arthritis? could this be fusing??? or what could it be?
could it be because I stopped the NSAIDS? i cant go back on them.

Not sure what an RMT is, but they could have been feeling anything from crunching, limitation of movement, bone-on-bone rubbing where there should be synovial fluid, etc. I'm not sure what the difference is between tendonitis and enthesitis. I thought that if it was right up close to the bone, then it was enthesitis, but that any anywhere along the tendon is tendonitis. If your "tendonitis" was at the end of the tendon right near the entheses, then it could have been related to AS inflammation rather than tendon damage or strain. I can't remember if you have a spondy diagnosis? or if you have been offered anti-tnfs.

the MRI info did not say if the damage was near the enthesitis or where it was. she is not the first RMT i have seen since shoulder problems started. I was Dx "classic" AS in Sept, although i not fused much, they gave me Celebrex and Tramace and a stomach pill and wanted MRI done at their Hospital to see if i'd qualify for funding for Biologics.
That MRI was just done end of January, and my follow up appt with Rhumy is in April. My next Fam Dr appt is in March where I might ask for more test on shoulder not sure.

manual PTs, chiros, physiatrists, etc can feel when a joint is inflamed, as it has some fluid in it and that can be felt, it has a spongy feeling to it. or they can also feel when the connective tissue is "fibrous" (i can too).

why don't you ask her. i'd be curious as to her answer.
