If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Well, beloved,, You know when you think “it can’t get worse”; and it usually does: well it seems like it did, Get worse I mean. Felling a bit melancholy I decided to go out to get a bite to eat. I don’t usually do that; but today I did. Streets are slippery, icy and wet. I have been getting shadow vision for years, but it seems now it is here to stay. Well I walked up to the cashier, trying to decide which one was real, the tall one or the shorter one? With my hearing being a bit suspect, I looked for the shorter one because of the sound of her voice being closer to me. I paid in cash, I had just printed up some new 20’s and they were working real good. This gal gave me a hard time, about not knowing what I wanted, cause it took a while to order, she said I looked like I was a bit unsure and disordered. Unsure and disorder!! ! I order and immediately dropped the change on the floor. Well, then the big predicament commenced to present itself. I was unsure how much money was on the floor, but I knew I wanted the quarters back; should I try to bend over in public? so I bend my rather large girth toward the ground and see the quarter on top of my size 8 eee men’s black Reebok. I say to myself, ah, ha, I can do this. I reached for the quarter, and it wasn’t there. I hate bending down like that unless I make the trip worthwhile! I reached a second time and hoped that the large crowd gathering was not because my effort to bend. I finallyrealised that it was was the lower quarter, not the one flashing up high. Now when I watch a movie, I get to see it twice!!! Tanks for reeding this ideological send, I love this place! Lon

Hugs to you, Lon. It's always good to hear from you. Hope you learn which image is the one you have to watch. Unless someone can fix it for you. You also need one of those reacher/grabbers. Not sure it does scooping, though. Awww, a couple more hugs, for the road, Lon. We all love you, too.

What a fine kettle of fish. If I were there, I would have helped you pick up the change from the floor, giving it back would be a different matter. Did anyone help?? Did you order a "Quarter" Pounder?
Hope you were able to enjoy your meal after all that!
Man Hugs

Oh Lon, that's awful, really, I can't even laugh at this one. Okay, this is a big one, it's time. You have to ask others for help. I made the transition this year to ask for help in cases like this one and it really isn't painful at all, well maybe a little, but not as much as if I would bend over and try to search for multiple objects on the floor. Give it a try it's not that hard. Lon, don't go making me worry about you. Cindy

while you shouldn't have had to ask for help (shame on anyone watching you and not offering without being asked), as others have said, please do ask when you need the help. i know you would have helped someone else in a similar situation in a second if you could. as you would say, "give someone the opportunity to feel good for doing a good deed for you." and hoping you can get some relief for those eyes!

Pea, I see a lighter version of an image above the first more defined object. Double vision is side to side, this is stacked. It is a bit, frustrating and my headaches have come back like thundering buffalo.
How are you feeling today?

Darrel, I am confused = when you think of me.. you see two mules? Or when you open the flask(s) and tip it back; your mules begin to punish you!! It reminds me a little bit about the Prophet Baalem and Balick! But knowing that you would help me is such reassurance that I am tempted to just throw some money down and see how many people in Wyoming have a heart..... I would love to see the desert through the ears of your mule, some day!!

I can't believe that the people around didn't help. I drop change, sometimes, and almost aways, some one helps me. The only people that don't help are people that are older or more crippled up then I am.
I enjoy reading your posts, Lon, I just wish you were not going through so many problems. You know that you are in our prayers.

Sorry to hear you had trouble ordering Lon, but very glad you enjoyed your meal. It is sometimes nice to get out alone for a bit. When you described shadow vision it sounded a bit like what I have, and I wondered if you would explain more? I see a lighter version of an image above the first more defined object. Double vision is side to side, this is stacked. It is a bit, frustrating and my headaches have come back like thundering buffalo. I have this as well. It is more pronounced when I am looking at light colored on dark backgrounds. Especially bothersome on text and signage. For years I get aggravated with my eye doctors, because I do have an astigmatism and always ask for glasses that JUST fix that, even though I need readers. They insist I don't need that. Now I wonder if what I have always thought was caused by my astigmatism is actually shadow vision. What do you think? Why hasn't my eye doctor brought this up to me? Is it worth bringing up to him? My lovable doctor is retiring, and I am sad as I've gone through three doctors I love now, retiring or moving. It's been hard finding someone who understands the iritis. Fortunately I have discovered we have a local specialist, highly recommended, who knows about iritis and AS. I'm calling to see if our insurance covers him. hopehopehopehopehope

Here's the song, the way we sing it in California, Lon:
Hold the pickles, hold the lettuce Special orders don't upset us! Drop your quarters, drop your nickels, We'll pick 'em up and grab the pickles! Have it your way, have it your way! If you're seeing one or double no worries, we'll take the trouble to serve you right, 'cause you're the King Lon, you rock, just do your thing! Have it your way, have it your way!
Ohhh, you went to McDonald's? Hmmm, I don't think they have that song!

Kancie, My optometrist, said it is not double vision, that would be side to side. When I explained the shadowing, especially of light, it was put off until the exam was done. Then when finding cataracts I was told to make an appointment when i can't see very well, come in and he would refer me. Last night when watching a video (Andy Stanley) I noticed that I could put pressure on my right eye, on the bottom right, and it would bring my vision back to normal. All but the very worst disappeared! It all was so clear!
It is a shadow of the same thing, just lifted up above the object. When it is bad, there are 2-3 of those shadows above the real image. Kancie, I have been using magnifying glasses from the cheap place when reading at home..... But the eye and head pain just does not make reading worth it sometimes. Is this what you??

Let's see if I can find that song, but I like my King Lon Song.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkY2hRCb0PQ&feature=relatedHope it made you smile, you deserve it. Best wishes for healing....!

Jan, Smile, I laughed out loud! I love it when I am surprised like that? Yes, I remember all the "old songs", cause, you know, I am kind of old...... I don't know if i deserve anything nice. But the love we share here is quite remarkable, isn't it? Not everyone can laugh at them selves as easily as most people here. But you sure pulled the trigger on something funny! I hope you are having a good day. Thanks Jan, Lon

Lon, I also have a form of shadow vision, but only when I am tired. For some reason, I have problems focusing when I am tired and trying to watch TV. I never think to mention it to my eye Dr. As soon as you described it, I thought, thats what I have.
I like all the old jingles also, my memory goes way back. I'm 71, so I have a long time to look back at.
I sure hope that you can find a solution to your problem, it is nice to be able to read without vision problems.

Donna, a friend in the church, who has MS, gets double vision when she is tired; after a nap or sitting for a spell, she is much better. I plan on getting an appointment soon. the more I read, the worse it gets...
I am so looking forward to gardening this year!!

Lon, just make sure you kiss the right girl.
If you have any lovely engravings of Ben Franklin I might actually make that long drive to collect a few prints.
If we ever do get around to going to the range I'll bring along my spotting scope so you'll know whether to shoot the high target or the low one.
Shalom,
John
