Got back yesterday from my boys branch titles for surf lifesaving.
Huge weekend walking from one end of the beach to the other on soft sand then climb the steep sand dune to the club tent. I am going to wear the pedometer next time as I feel I walked a million miles (no exageration at all)lol.
In a mini flare now with ulcers that have prevented me from starting my Enbrel until next week.

Enough about me though. After spending last year in a plastic boot my boy Jake performed very well at the titles. He can now run. woo hoo. He got silver in the all age relay (beach sprint) and bronze in his age relay. Also ran 10th in sprints out of over 50 kids and 8th/9th in flags also out of about 50 kids. He made the swim final, missed out by 1 spot on the iron man final and boards final (top 8 went through).

Excellent results for a kid who could hardly walk last year.
Jake is now off to state titles for lifesaving in a few weeks and has district swimming this Friday.

His back is still playing up, as are his knees and ankles but for now we can control his pain with anti inflamatories. Yay!!!

Just thought I would share my pride.
