i've had it. for me it only worked about as well as tylenol to just barely take the edge off the pain. maybe i didn't take enough? made me pretty drowsy, napped on it.

but we're all different.

i'm on LDN so as a general rule can't do opiates or tramadol, nothing that works on the opiate receptors.

Hated it but there are others on here and it works good for them.

Took for orthopaedics and for intolerable pain (pleurisy) when facing 5hr rail journey home followed by a bus ride - long'ish time ago : 2007. Worked a treat, then developed side effects, like impossible itching, and felt 'heavy' headed after taking. Believe it can be pretty addictive - there have been recent alerts in the press over here - France. Basically, notes to doctors to stop doling out like sweeties, does not mean 'do not take', just to be on the alert. Suggested, 'take as needed' basis but probably not every day for an interminable length of time.

Have never taken for AS. And, no, after that intolerable itching, would not take again.

Hi there.
I was on tramadol 200mg slow release and 50 mg fast release per day for 5 years. Didn't even take the edge off but I was affraid of not taking it and having more pain. I stopped taking it when I fell pregnant and never noticed any difference.
So nope did nothing to help with pain.

I am at Bribie Island. getting a nice storm here atm. I knew it was coming woke up this morning with a frozen shoulder and kink in my neck.
Where in QLD are you?
Most meds I have been there done that over the past 15yrs apart from the TNF's.

I am just about to start on enbrel on Monday. Will let you know how it goes.
Take care

Not far apart at all. I don't feel alone now.lol
Enbrel is one of the TNF's.
I was only told I had AS about a year and a half ago also.
But I have had symptoms for 10-15yrs, lucky for me most of the meds the docs have had me on over the years are the ones used for AS. So far none have helped much at all. Low dose naltrexone did work quite well but was expensive for me and often hard to get prescription.

Take care and feel free to message me anytime. Everyone here is lovely but it is nice to know some one else is so close.
