I just started Enbrel yesterday. I got the Sureclick, and I said many choice words while the medicine was going in. Boy! That feels like FIRE! But, then that pain went away as soon as the medicine was done going in. Can anybody tell me how quickly they received relief? Thanks for any feedback.

For me, I had great relief within two weeks. I hated the sure-click and much preferred using the regular syringe (for which I could control the rate better).

I think pain-wise, I'd probably like the syringe better, but I don't think I could psych myself up to shoot!!

I use the SureClick, too. Reminds me of years ago when I had to inject Imitrex for migraines. It had to be a really bad headache before I'd use that. OUCH! Then the neck pain within a minute or 2. But 15-30 minutes later, the headache was usually gone.

Was told that using an ice cube to numb up the area was useful. I did it once and that was the one time the injector misfired. Never tried it again. YMMV.

Sounds like it went well. I used the Imitrex too. I hope that it works for you. How often do you take it?
