Take home message - let em experiment on someone else first. Can't think why not use a few cadavers first - should cut down on errors, and the cadavers won't mind. (They sure is welcome to me when I pop me clogs!)

Only problem with that is cadavers don't walk on the new knees, run on the new knees, jump, cycle, fall down on, etc. Cadavers can't tell the surgeon that 'there is a weird feeling when I XXXX'.

I don't want to be one of the first few knees/hips/etc a surgeon does.

Yes, but, they'll get in a bit of practice first! *Always ask 'how many' such they have done before - go to a real busy busy hospital...!!
