i've been a very bad girl. i haven't been walking much. when i should during the week, i'm busy with work. when i should be on the weekends, i'm busy shopping and housework and such. i am up and about a lot at both work and home so that helps, but really i need to get back to walking again. i will sooner than i would otherwise because of this thread, so thank you all for that! smile

the "recumbent" stationary bike that i bought isn't panning out, i think. the way its positioned where you sit up and the legs are down and in front doesn't use the thigh muscles but instead i feel it in my shins, afraid of shin splints. was hoping for this to pan out so i could exercise in the winter no matter how late i make it home. oh well, no further behind than before i bought it. just not further ahead. hoping i am wrong, will try it again, but think its not quite right.

Me, either. The recumbent bikes hurt my tailbone, sacrum, and lower back. I think it's from the pressure. smirk

Wuffff.... yesterday I discovered what NOT to do. Walk on a sunny 39F (not counting wind chill) without adequate insulation around my spine. Got a 1 mile walk in yesterday and then spent the afternoon and evening mostly in bed, but today I swam 1,000 yds before going back to bed.... so, not a total loss.

Go TEAM! clap

Yesterday I swam 1500metres. Really busy with Christmas at the mo.
We´re off home on Thursday to get a bit of Irish winter into us. Always good to remind yourself why you got the hell out of there LOL.
