If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi everyone, I wanted to see if any of you have seen your Gastroenterologist due to fusion in your rib's. I am having breathing problem's and eating problem's. I have a whole body nuclear bone scan on Friday but am seeing the Gastro tomorrow or I would have to wait over a month to get into him. I got a cancelled appt. by luck. I can barely eat as it causes more rib pain. Anybody here have any feed back from their Dr.s??

No, I'm sorry. I've never experienced this. I just wanted to send you a hug. It sounds horrid.
Warm hugs,

Thank you ladies. He put me on folic acid and said that my Rheumatologist should have already had me on it while I am taking the Sulphasalazine. He want's to do a CT scan with contrast and look at my pancreas, liver and stomach. I really am at my wit's end with all of this testing, prodding and poking. This is my whole life now and I am feeling depressed. Yes, I am going to talk to yet another Dr. about being depressed.

sounds like you have a good gastroenterologist.
i have GI issues, but not like you mention. mine are mostly gastritis and some IBS.
but i've been fortunate to have good thorough gastroenterologists. they've done upper and lower endoscopies, ultrasounds, and a few CTs as needed.
from comparing notes with others. different GI problems can give similar symptoms and thus the best way to determine the underlying problem is to do the testing.
i know how you feel about going to so many medical appointments, but do believe its part of what helps keep me functional in between flares and helps get me through the flares better. its just part of our life i think. but trying to fit it all in to a busy life can be a challenge sometimes.

My Gastro is the best! I have been with him since '94 and if I can't get any of my other Dr.s to take me seriously, he jump's right in and make's thing's happen. He even saved my life once. I have so much respect for him. I had the CT scan done this morning and the whole body bone scan done last week and just for kick's and giggles I squeezed a facet joint injection in the lower back in-between the two, so I could walk and lay down more comfortably. I am weary though. So weary. I will let you know the result's as they come in. Thank's for all of the support.
