Grim weather Fri Sat a cyclone of snow in our back yard everything in the house rattled with the wind.
Sun 5 mile walk up our hill. We expected to be wading snow drifts judging by our garden and the three foot drift blocking our door but alas no. The fields were scoured I think it all ended up in our garden! The hardest part was getting out up the side and then it was all avoidable. Where the snow has drifted there is lots but if you spread it all out there would be next to nothing!
Mon 1 1/2 mile walk to school.
My SI joint is really sore today not sure if its down to meal out on Fri or hauling the Landrover around which is really hard work when its in 4 wheel drive mode (steering so stiff takes ages to manoeuvre!)
NSD almost all the way No dairy hard cheeses occasionally and homemade ghee Still trying to work out what makes me tick and what makes me drop

Steve, I am so sorry you're having to have surgery, which I know is the least irritating part of the whole deal. I am SUPER sorry that your MD said no running for 3 months!
Lon, I am now in your baby-lifting club! Our youngest brought his family to live in our town! OMGoodness, it's so awesome. If I'd known it was this good, I might have forgone seimming all together.
Everyone else, GREAT JOB! Every little bit helps us "move it or lose it"!!!
I love this video!
Let's see. As for me, yesterday I walked a mile or so with the kids, back and forth to the park a couple of times.
The day before that I swam laps for 40 minutes.

Lovely day it was. The sun was shining and it was a balmy 50 degrees
The birds were singing: chickadees, red bellies, and red winged blackbirds.
Walked 1.25 miles in 30 minutes.

Just spent a fantastic three days mountain walking in Scotland.
Blue skies and snow perfect though each day brought completely different snow conditions. I haven't worn my crampons in earnest for so long for years.
1st day 10.5 miles 2nd day 9.5 miles 3rd day 3 miles which was supposed to be a short walk but took as long to do as the others because it was straight up on rough ground and snow and ice!
Hope the picture shows up I just had to post it to show you guys how fabulous it was. To think a year ago with my foot pains etc I though I would have to hang up my walking boots for good!
Keep exercising its just as important as everything else even if you can't manage much at first. It was interesting that I started the first day with SI pains and soreness that went away, day two slight SI and possible hip soreness but by day three I had no problems at all right from the start. Must have walked it off

not good - I am facing two full weeks of driving convict fellons to and from appointments and work , Saturday is a 14 hour day. all I have time to do, is step into the office get a list and leave. I took no brake, walked only tot he end of a hall and grabbed a sandwhich..
so I know I will be in much pain at the end of two weeks.
I maY NOT BE ABLE TO WORK THIS MUCH..
but I do care about you all, go team go

On doctors orders not to run, or do much at all. My arm is in a sling to keep the shoulder from moving. Need to let the pins get set in, and bones to heal. I going to be afraid to run again, we will see what happens. I try to make a walk around the block once a day.
Steve, so very sorry to hear about your shoulder! I hope you can find joy in running again, i know how much you enjoy it! I used to run, now I walk, its enjoyable in a different way. If I walk with a camera, that's even better.
Again, speedy healing!
Erica, sorry the questionaire is getting you down. Yeh, when we just go through life, we don't realize how much we've modified to get by. Only when I stop and think about it, do I realize there are a lot of things I've given up doing. Thankfully not many are so important: so what if I can't sweep, mop, vacuum, etc. My husband can and is willing to, and I know I am lucky for that. But I do wish I could travel the world or hop in the car for a road trip. That one bugs me. Still, then, I think the best thing to do is to make another list of all the things you can do! That usually makes me feel better.
Had to park way out, so walked in 1/2 mile, then had to go get car, walked back another 1/2 mile. 25 minutes total.
Yesterday, walked 1 mile, 20 minutes.
