If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

For my coconut milk, I know they sell the little cans that are just "pure" coconut milk, but I've been drinking the coconut milk by So Delicious that I get at Whole Foods. It sort of has a long list of ingredients, but I tested it and it passed so I'm wondering if some of those ingredients aren't the best for us though? What brand do most of you use for your coconut mild? I've only seen this one brand (So Delicious) at all my local grocery stores.
This is the list of ingredients on the back:
Ingredients: Coconut cream (water & guar gum), organic evaporated cane juice, calcium phosphate, magnesium phosphate, carageenan, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D-2, selenium, zinc oxide, folic acid, vitamin B-12.

I recently read research on carageenan and it causes ulcerations in the intestinal tract of laboratory animals......
We already have issues with our GI tract...wouldn't add that to the mix.

You guys solved one of my newest mysteries I think. I've been having stomach issues lately, have also been making "cereal" with dried coconut and coconut milk beverage. All the brands we use have carageenan. Another food bites the dust:( will look into making my own or trying canned again. Thanks MaryCay

If you search it here at KA you will find some links about it flaring up arthritis in rats or something. I think it was posted by zark.
FYI if you like cream, there is carrageenan in that too. At least all the ultra pasturized brands I looked at have it. Interestingly the pasturized usually does not have anything added to it... just cream.

I found a canned brand of coconut milk that doesnt turn dark with the iodine. The brand is Thai Kitchen (unsweetened) Ingredients are coconut milk, water and guar gum. Its available at Albertsons where I live.

I absolutely don't react to carrageenan. But yeah I posted a link to the research on it ages ago (years perhaps). My recollection is they injected it into the rodents, so yeah please don't inject it into yourself . Sometimes you have to take the research with a pinch of salt, but use it to inform your own observations. Often they will use quantities 10 to a 100 times what you would ever consume. I don't recall ever reacting to thickeners in the e400 series.. Haven't yet seen any of those react to iodine and so no longer fear them. But all the e1400 series thickeners are starchy I think.
