I love my sleep number bed with a pillow top! I can adjust the pressure to whatever feels comfortable

i have a high quality box spring. so long as i sleep alone so that i'm perfectly flat and not tilted, i'm good.

this winter i bought a heated mattress pad, a nice addition, so long as i don't have it set too high!

i tried a foam bed, it made my but spasm and my back ache. don't know if the tempurpedic would have been better or would cause the same issues.

have thought about a sleep number bed, maybe some day. then at least hubby and i could share a bed again. i miss him. though i do think we both sleep better this way.

I have a tempurpedic bed and love it. Firm has been good for me.

Tried a sleep number bed at a hotel once and hated it. They also have somewhat of a bad rep as some have had mold issues and replacement parts were a problem to get. I have no personal anecdotes on this, but have read of problems.

thanks for the info, always good to hear both sides, and hadn't until now.

since temperpedic has a return policy, may try it down the road.

funny though, the more i hear about the pros and cons of everything, the more it makes me feel better for not getting around to finding something my husband and i can sleep in together. what we're doing may not be perfect, but its working for now.

thanks again.

Hi Tadecker,

Have you thought about an adjustable bed?

I used books to raise the mattress to confirm that it would help - and boy did it ever. Then I got the adjustable bed, which has helped even more as my condition worsens.

Hello! I did a ton of research before buying my last bed.

I settled on a non-Tempurpedic (just couldn't afford) memory foam mattress. I did learn to get the best support it is important to consider the foam density (5 lb seems to be the best) in addition to mattress thickness. I am very happy with my bed!

Best of luck to you in your search! Jess
