Hi Everyone! 1cup

Last month I happened upon the most wonderful pair of shoes. They are Altra Trail Runners, but I've been wearing them as walking shoes. I like them because there's a LOT of room in the front - so no squeezing from the sides. It is amazing how much less my feet hurt when I wear them for all of my daily walking. Has anyone else had luck with particular shoes?

I'm walking an hour every day, playing with my grandkids, swimming when I can!

Gooooooooo TEAM! clap cheerleader

Hello Erica,

Shoes make a huge difference for me... typically I am in the shoe store more than 1/2 hour trying on all kinds until find one that helps.

Around the house I have a pair of slip on Skechers I wear all the time.

Not getting a lot of exercise in with quarantine… cannot be outside in parks and such here. Do keep up with my stretching… hit the tennis ball with son in back yard, bounce the basketball and of course yard work.

Best

Tim

Still walking....thankfully the quarantine didn't hit until spring...where we live, not many people around, so easy to take a walk and not come near people...getting to know neighbors better and better as we are all out walking...and talking loudly to one another from a distance smile

I'm getting some great use from my trail shoes. Living at 10K feet in Colorado for the summer. No campers this year due to COVID19 so all we have is the occasional hiker and a bunch of marmots. Search "Grand Mesa Lakes" and you'll see where we are.

I looked up Grand Mesa Lakes... it is in the middle of no where, looks very scenic!

Have fun with the trail shoes.

Yes, I had a look as well. WOW. I sent the link to my nephew and family who live in Boulder, they have visited, and will be going back in again. They say 'amazing'.

AS is so weird. Yesterday I walked 3.7 miles and this morning I feel great. Sometimes I walk two blocks and need to come home and lie down. Thankful for a few days like yesterday and today!

He Everyone!

I hope you're all doing well in this weird new year.

Can't believe I haven't been "here" for nearly 3 months.

As per usual I've been out walking every day for 30+ minutes. And also as per usual, I've been seeking out the perfect shoe and insert so my feet can handle the stress of walking.

I tend to walk for a few minutes, then sit down or lean on something and stretch, then walk some more. It's slow going but the osteopenia hasn't gotten any worse since I switched out swimming for walking.

Gooooooooooo team! cheerleader

Hey everybody. New to the forum. Diagnosed a year ago after way to many years of pain. I love trying to keep fit and active, it's my mental release. Mainly water sports, live in Australia smile

Hey Barri, I'm new too. London-based, and love running, cycling and boxing (though I've had to give them all up for now whilst I focus on reducing flare-ups first). Hopefully only short-term though!
Have focused on doing longer walks (with audible to make it slightly less dull...)
Have a good day all
G.
