I swam 1,250 yds today in about 45 minutes. My niece and nephew came to swim off some of their "baby weight" from their cute little 6 month old baby boy. Swimming w/ the fam is bueno. smile

Go TEAM! clap

walked about 5 miles in about 100 minutes

in DC, so lots of walking next few days; hip, leg, and feet holding up ok,
but monday will be the real test. we plan to play hooky from the meeting and do the smithsonian and monuments all in one day; pick and choose of course.

any places in particular anyone recommends? i've got my favorites in mind but always up for something new.

tomorrow is teaism, a talk, hopefully the national gallery of art, and then more talks.

have fun tomorrow everyone smile

Today I swam 1,000 meters (1km) in 45 minutes. I know, it's weird, but the pool I swim in is 50m x 25yd - and today they had the ropes going the length of the pool.

Thx Erica - now that my mtx is working again, I'm trying to get back into the habit of walking. Plus 14 of our staff just registered at a new gym where they offer an "employer of choice" program - a hefty discount if 10 or more staff sign up from one organization. We arranged to deduct the monthly fees through payroll so 14 including me signed up.

I'm going to meet with their trainer to figure out what I can do that won't stress my joints - especially my shoulders.

walked: ~ 8 miles for the day ~ 160 minutes

oy my feet! eek2

stretching the calves like crazy! but the pavement is winning.

at a meeting so have to do this walking. can't imagine what it would be like to live in a city and have to walk like this every day. don't think i could do it. but then again, would probably have ended up on heavier duty drugs by now by necessity.

another about 5 miles, ~100 minutes of actual walking outside,
then inside museum walking too for another 4 hours or so, mileage unknown.

oy, oy my feet; wanted to do the memorials but just couldn't, that would've been another 4 miles, but stretching calves, and resting often only takes you so far;

came back, iced my feet with ice pack i brought, but they're still on fire, will need to go do contrast baths for them.

at least i now know daypro just won't cut it; but LDN did help a bit overnight. tomorrow will need to try to stay off them. wish i thought to bring pred dose pack with me. wish i had some of donette's magical essential oils. at the least i should have brought my kip gel with me. did bring icy blue menthol gel, will try that now. its just that my feet were doing so well before i came here; guess they weren't really better; simply managed better!
