If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I'm so lame these days I do all of my work in the deep end. Then there are days when I don't do anything but float and try to get some of the kinks relaxed. I started out by dangling around in the deep end, because the shallow end exercises hurt me too much. Then my husband started swimming with me and he encouraged me to try swimming laps. I started VERY slowly. Like a 4 minute lap w/ resting at each end. That was 2 years ago this month and now I'm swimming 1,000 yds almost every day ~~~ well, not traveling, but normally. Go TEAM!

Saturday: bike 15 miles (90 minutes) and yardwork (120 minutes)
Let the yardwork begin! Rototiller time... It is so nice out this weekend. I took the bike ride real slow just to enjoy the sun in early spring cool.

I had planned on going skiing this morning, but I got up late so I went running instead. 7.26 miles 1 hour 12 minutes, and 26 seconds. I should have run further, but I was tired.
Good job everyone, you all are an inspiration.

Lath, I had 18* 3 inches of wet snow!!!
So I have spent far more time on the shovel this winter than I have walking.. but hay, it gets the blood moving..

Hey Team My husband has driven us around the south west for 4,500+ miles. I feel mostly human when we're on the road, but as soon as we stop my heart gets really heavy again. What's up with that? We've landed in western Colorado for a few weeks ~ I think... so today I swam 1,100 yds in about 40 minutes. I feel like I'm 1,100 years old, but evidently my body is still willing to take me swimming. I've been watching the action here daily. It makes my heart happy that you're all moving it so you don't lose it. Go TEAM!

I started out dangling too, then worked up to walking laps in the shallow end and doing some deep end work. Eventually, I was able to do less and less in the shallow end, although I still "walked" until I started to spasm. Finally my FP and my rheumy told me to stop that part of my routine (I'm not smart enough to figure it out on my own). The problem with me swimming laps is: first you have to be able to stay on top of the water. I don't float, I sink like a rock! Our instructor says it's a common problem for tall people. Maybe she was just trying to make me feel better? Tomorrow, as with every Monday, my main goal is to make it to PT. Some days just making it into the building is half the battle... If I make it, I will post my time.

Wow Lon what a contrast. You are right. I'm sure shoveling snow is good exercise. Maybe our warm spell is heading east.

True that. I learned watching YouTubes. I'm not kidding. I even learned to flip turn on YouTube.

Erica, Once I went on inhalers my symptoms got better! In my case asthema was tightening my airways, not congestion.... I could be quite active, but I did have that first heat attack... when I first start out, walking, hiking, riding a bike, smooching, it felt like a truck was on my chest.
much better now
