If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

walked all around the building for about an hour, trying to track down something that someone "borrowed" from my lab. found it! a waste of time? or exercise? making a silk purse out of a sow's ear, so i'll call it exercise how far? not sure? but involved three flights of stairs up, and then down. and then lots of walking besides.

So proud of all of you for keeping at it!! Even Dow's reading is.....commendable!!! lol. Friday and Monday:Took the kids to the track and I walked 1/2 mile. It was really more of a shuffle, but I claim it!! Timed each of the kids running a mile. Just trying to keep them active this summer break! Thanks for all of your activity, it's inspiring! -Donette

I bought a pedometer to see how much I walk at work. I figure I'm tired after work, but why? Eye-opening, to say the least: 5/23: 4.5 miles 5/24: 3.7 miles 5/25: 4.5 miles 5/26: 2.9 miles (weekends aren't as busy?)
5/27: 2.2 miles 5/29: 2.6 miles 5/30: 3.0 miles 5/31: 2.6 miles (in 4 hrs, after a LESI at L4-5, then I went home because I hurt too much) 6/1: 2.6 miles
So, does this count for the fitness team?

Shuffling counts! You notice that some days I noodle instead of swim. I bought a pedometer to see how much I walk at work. I figure I'm tired after work, but why? Eye-opening, to say the least:
So, does this count for the fitness team? EVERYTHING COUNTS FOR THIS TEAM! Wowie kazowie! Good job!

Now I want to get a pedometer. That is great.

wow! that is a lot of walking at work! yes, that absolutely counts!
i know on the days i'm in the lab with the students, i feel a lot better, than the days i'm chained to my desk doing paperwork.
awesome!

And tonight, Wed night: 4.1 miles.
This is why I don't do an exercise program--too much exercise at work. And the active job is good for me...as we all know--move it or lose it. I can't tolerate being still. Fine balance it is--between too much moving and too little. If I had a desk job, it would be horrid.
SI is starting to hurt again since my last radio-frequency ablation 9/2/11 (1st one was in Jan/Feb 2011). It's intermittent still, but most nights after work gets some pain on the right side. Pain doc said to let her know when it's back to aggravating and we will redo both sides again. I'll be starting Simponi this week, hopefully...need to make appt with rheumy to do the first injection at their office.

Now I want to get a pedometer. That is great.
I got this one at wallyworld. I'd like a better one, but it's working well enough. If I could figure it out, could adjust the 'calories burned' to fit my weight, but that's too hard. I don't care about that info. I was only curious about the miles for each shift at work. Hospital labs are busy places, you know. Number of steps didn't really matter to me, either. The only adjustment I had to make was the placement of the pedometer. If I put it on my waistband, it was in the way of my phone in my breast pocket (a girl has to have her music at work!). Then I put it on the side of the cargo pocket of my scrubs, but it seemed to not count correctly--maybe due to the baggy nature of the pants. Then I decided to clip it to the top of my sock. Works great, but only counts half the steps, being that it's on one sock. So I double the step count and the mileage. Works right that way.
