Saturday I ran 5.25 miles 54.25 Minutes. I did walk when the road had snow or ice on it. I didn't want to fall. I am worried that the MS is getting more of a hold on me. I have been trying to get my speed up, but it is not working. I guess I should be happy that I can still run.

I know how you feel! I feel the same way about swimming. I can't get my speed up, so I'm now I'm working on improving my endurance. yes

Good job keeping on keeping on! cheerleader

Just so you know, there are LOTS of people in the pool with MS who swim with me. There are also some people who run in the water with flotation belts.

Go TEAM! clap

Well with the new job it has been office office office. I managed to get out with the dogs friday and did three hours in knee deep snow, 5 degree temps, beautiful scenery. Burnt the lungs, but I got to see a magnificent cat. Very few things are more stunning than a crystal clear morning with the sun coming up in the biting cold after a snowstorm. Then watching the breathe cloud the air as a big mountain lion growls at you.
I am in worse shape than last year, when I was two hours into my hike I started having cramps in my thigh. When I got home that night it was cramp city. Guess I need to get in some shape other than chair shape.

That is awesome! I always wanted to see a mountain lion on my backpacking trips. I was told they are out there but I was never lucky enough to see one.

I want to go out with you sometime, and see a mountain lion. That sounds like a fun trip.

Seeing a big mountain lion in his world is something that will always stir my soul. The look in their eyes is something a man never frogets, the color, the feeling that they are looking deep into your soul. I love mountain lions and all they represent. It is the one thing I will miss with all my heart someday.

Today I swam 250 yds in 10 minutes after spending 5 minutes each on the treadmill and elliptical. My hip/sacrum tolerated the machines okay. My plan is to work up to 30 minutes on each machine, increasing by one minute per week. Stay tuned! grin
