Thanks Ben! I know how you feel about mtx but I guess it works for some people. I'm relieved to be switching to an injectible form after I developed the nausea.

Rheumatoid Arthritis
Methotrexate, Celebrex, Plaquenil

It made you lose your teeth ben?
HLAB27+ A.S for 2 year. Humira, Enbrel, Simponi all tried now moving on to Remicade. Meth, sulfa, tramadol, etc...

yup - with mtx the appearances of infections is higher than with something like enbrel. i had a 'soft' tooth, then another then one with an imperfect filling...xrays showed a two whole areas of abcess, a type of staph infection...they all went, not like a great set of teeth to begin with...had a course of penicillin- huge tablets- and oral surgery before starting enbrel.

dentist determined in followup exam that i could start enbrel 10days hence. rehumy insisted dentist had to ok it.
(AND to my surprise oral surgeon read up on AS and enbrel b4 date... and he went out of his way in setting up chair and neck support prior to doing the deed...told me he wouldn't let me go to sleep before pulse, bp etc were at resting rate taken in prelim visit. class act. i'd give him more business if i had any more teeth.)
