I didn't get to run yesterday so I ran this morning. Ran 2.55 miles in 24:13 minutes. I will miss tomorrows run also as I am traveling.

Got through another 2000 metres today in the pool. My weeks are a bit of a mess at work at the moment so it is the weekend when I do my exercise.

Let´s go team, keep up the great work

Today I paddled around in the Glenwood Hot Springs for an hour. yes

Yesterday I walked 2 miles and swam for 30 minutes. I lost count of my laps because the pool was set up for long course.

The day before I walked 2-ish miles.

I have to admit that I've been a bit peeved for the past few days. My MD told me to knock off the simple carbs (i.e., DESSERTS & CANDY!) for six months and then let's see about my blood work again. Really? My A1c is 5.7 and fasting blood sugar is 106... but my mom, grandma,g-grandma, etc., all had diabetes. That said my BMI is muy perfecto, and they had obesity. Does my MD care about that? Noooo.... SHEESH! I hate genetics.

But that's enough grousing about for me. Good job everyone! cheerleader

erica,

yeh, doc is right, LOL! i hear you on the whole genetics thing. me and insulin resistance are slugging it out! my blood sugar goes into the prediabetic range and i do something to change it, it creeps up, i modify again, etc. and i'm at a point where if i eat more than ~10 grams of sugar in a sitting, i can feel it. and i have to even count total carbs to not feel like its nap time. but its ok, everything in moderation, right! smile

and some desserts are better, like dark chocolate's high fat content balances out the sugar better than say "peeps"! smile

cold and wet here. they're calling for snow. so i spent the weekend walking around inside, shopping smile

Hi Team! grin

Yesterday I triked 5.8 miles in 90F head. THAT WAS AN ERROR IN JUDGEMENT. eek
But the 650m swim in the middle of the ride helped a lot. yes After that stupid flare a couple of months ago I still haven't been able to work back up to my usual 1K... ideas anyone? smile

Hope everyone is well and wonderful today! I see your posts and it makes me determined to keep putting one foot in front of the other. cheerleader

We all know if I had to swim, my name would be bob.

Dear Bob:

Well, as you know, living in the New York area, home of the Sopranos and all kinds of unsavory types, it gives me extra motivation to do those swim flip turns as fast as I can!!!

Dow,
I am just shot in the heart!
How emotional, that they wee after you. was it cause you made such a big splash? Or was it because it was perfect and they were sent by a non-union swimmer?
but my personal choice would have been to use a 380 semi, with a clip of jacketed bullets for deep water penetration!

If they miss, doesn't that hurt the cement floor???

You passed with flying colors, again!!!
your friend,
Old Lon
