If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Lath, Yes I used to be like that lay on the floor and gravity would pull my head down so it touched. Look at me now heads nearer the ceiling than the floor when laying down . Fusion is a very slow process and creeps up on you keep laying on the floor both back and front as much as you can and at least you should fuse straight. Don't end up like me you will regret it for the rest of your life if you do. Always concentrate on your posture when walking and think tall all the time or before you know it you will be joining the bent club and permanently looking at your feet. Kevin

How's the weather down there in gold country? Rain is threatened today. But, it between it is fantastic. Not too hot and not cold at all. I'm going to try to get my bike ride in today rain or shine. I have a bicycling rain jacket to put on if it starts coming down. I got that jacket about 25 years ago...I love things that last.

Have you asked your doc about the fusing possibility? I asked my rheumy about this neck stiffness I still have even after the rest of me feels great with Humira. She just recommended stretching. I didn't mention the "F" word. Several visits ago last May she looked at xrays with me and commented that the SI joints were clearly signs of AS. She was not happy with the quality of the neck xrays...she really didn't say much about them and I didn't know what to ask. I need to put that in my written list of questions for the next visit so I don't forget.

Ooooo.... I hate it when I forget to ask! I actually went to see my doc last week specifically to have my LDN prescription changed to 4.5mg pills so I could quit having to swallow 3x 1.5mg pills... and if she hadn't asked how the LDN was working I would have completely forgotten to ask her! She sidetracked me right at the get-go by wanting to talk about the hemiplegic migraine issue. (envision head slapping icon here). And, I don't seem to be able to leave this thread without a.... And I knew you'd have good advice! Your pooch is going to be a very happy dog with your new pain level. Pets suffer so much for us, I think because they're such intuitive creatures. So... how about logging in that dog walking exercise? Huh? Go TEAM!

Sunday: bike 25 miles (90 minutes) and 30 minutes upper body stretches.
It rained all day today...not heavy...just a constant light rain. Well, I didn't have much traffic on the bike paths. And it was great when the wind was at my back!

Sooooo... John will be happy that after a day of inner rebellion I actually did 11 minutes of upper body stretches. Way to set a good example for me! Also I managed to swim 750 yds in 30 minutes. And Sue, if this Zanaflex doesn't make me feel weird tomorrow, then it is my new favorite rescue med. I took 1/2 of a 4 mg tablet tonight so my sweetie would be awake in case I had a bizarre reaction - which for me isn't unusual with med trials. Go TEAM!

The weekend we were in St George, Utah. My son is on the high school swim team, and his team was in a big meet there. I only ran 2.75 miles on Friday. The meet started early Saturday so I didn't have time to run then. I did drive the marathon route that I ran in 2008. It is much easier in a car:).
The swim meet was really loud. When we came out Friday night I told my wife I felt like we were at a rock concert. My ears were ringing. My wife wore ear plugs on Saturday.

Sue, good job getting in a walk! I don't know about you, but I do not like exercising in winter. I just don't, but we have to do it anyway. Right? Go TEAM! its all in the right clothing! i really do bundle up in layers and i'm really never cold, if anything, i bundle up too well. if i start out comfortable, i know i'm in trouble because in no time at all, i'll be overheated. but by dressing in layers, i can peel as i walk. sometimes i remind myself of the little brother in "a christmas story". and though i'm embarrassed to admit it, today, hubby had to pull my sweater up over my head when i came in because all the layers made everything a bit too tight to get off!
