If you need a cheap alternative... Try picking up one of those memory foam mattress toppers, and put it directly onto the floor. I have been using it for about a year now and its been WAY better than a bed has been to me. I used to just layer blankets on the floor as my bed, but that was still way too firm. The memory foam topper directly on the floor is the perfect combination of firmness and softness. It allows me to rotate to a comfortable position all night as need be.

This is a classic thread for sure smile but not record-breaking. We had an off-topic thread called 'concept association' that reached 8069! replies and 2088119 views, (which has since been retired).

Hi,
The one thing i found out is that when you go to the shop to buy a bed and you lay down to test them , 99% of the beds feel comfy.
But the problem is that what feels comfy when you lay on it for a few min most likely wont feel comfy after a few hours and for most of us AS suffers aganising pain. The only way i found out what type of bed i needed was through staying over at family and friends places and testing out the different ones they had.

I find a firm mattress with a egg carton topper works best for me.
Good luck😊

My husband finds his waterbed the best. It contours to his body and the heat helps reduce swelling.
