If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Walked 2.5 miles in 40 minutes but had to take my bear spray and cougar knife with me because we have a black bear and two cougars in our area right now!

I bought the cougar knife a few years ago after a man on Vancouver Island was mauled by a cougar. He had a penknife but had trouble getting it open to try and fight off the big cat. He survived but was badly mauled. He recommended that you carry a knife in a sheath that doesn't have to be opened like a penknife. So my sheath is on my belt and the knife just slides out! You can read his story if you google 'cougar attack David Parker'.
I'm not really worried about the bear or the cougars because the bear is probably after apples and there are a LOT of deer around right now which are probably attracting the cougars.
Still, I think carrying the spray and the knife is prudent! I do find myself scanning the forest beside the road and it helps to know that my weapons would give me SOME chance if I was unlucky enough to be attacked.
Sorry if I scared you all!

We have a Bobcat that's been hunting around our property for the past few months, so I'm always looking up in the trees but I do carry a Gator knife, you never know when you might need it around here...stay safe!!!

Guys I´m sorry for boring you to tears with my pathetic post. The only thing I can say is that I swam 1700 metres in a swimming pool today and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The sun was beating down and the water was lovely. 25ºF is something we see on TV or go on holiday to visit. The biggest and most dangerous animal in these parts is the bunny rabbit (they chew through cables - very annoying to the injured party). I don´t like summer here much but the other 3 seasons are lovely. I have booked a 2 week holiday back to Ireland at Christmas, just to get a bit of real weather into me.
PS Ladybuggy I would like to say that I feel for your loss and my best wishes go to you during this very difficult period.

I swam 750 yds today in 20 minutes. Phew! Seems like my body might be allowing me to have some fun again.

I ran 4.16 miles in 42:16 minutes. It was rough today for some reason. The weather was perfect.
