Take care of yourself and don't do too much. I have heard that legos are healing, or maybe it's the playing that's healing. hugss

Hi exercise friends!!

I just saw this fun post, yay. We have a 32 foot pool so my numbers are about the same as Dow's. (only he swims wayyyyyyy more laps than I do!)

In July I spent about 9 hours in our pool, constantly moving, sometimes just treading when I feel bad. But man, oh man, does the swimming ever help. I dropped Celebrex 2 1/2 weeks ago and flared hard as a result and the swimming helped stop the flare. I did have to have my 2 daughters (10 and 12) hold each of my hands to help me descend the steps down into the pool, but hey... I made it and I felt sooooooooooo much better!

Super fun post guys!!

You should get double points for exercising today! I remember that weather. I lived in New York (Great Neck ~ not the rich people section) for exactly 6 months during 1991-1992. Moved there in the sweltering humidity, survived the perfect storm, and fled the state during first break in the snow during February! I am a west coast sissy and I am not afraid of anyone knowing. My hat is off to you who live in wild weather places.

Ok, well it's on. But if there were a hat's off icon I would use that one instead. You get the idea, right?

LOL!

up here is nothing compared to growing up in southern NJ or living in Maryland or Virginia for 10 years before coming up here. yet compared to someplace like houston......well, guess its all relative.

and i always wait til the sun goes down. just watching people run in the midday sun makes me want to pass out! i too am a wimp when it comes to the heat; with that said, i spent 2 summers in a row when i was in college working on the rutgers research farm, out in the fields every day; drank a gallon of water every day, no kidding!

Hey! Here's some encouraging news yes
I discovered that I can kick a bit harder now and my right hip doesn't beat me up afterwards.
I actually swam 50 yds in 1 minute yesterday. I only did it once in the middle of my workout, but no bad after effects. Woohoo!

My stats for today:

tai chi ~ 20 minutes
swimming ~ 1,050 yds / 40 minutes
