If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

The hair thing is hard for me and I have short hair. Holding the hair dryer is a big thing. At least it is fine and thin and doesn't take long. :o) can't remember the last time i used a hair dryer? my hair is about shoulder length, simple cut, i just let it air dry, in a ponytail or down, depending if i'm going out or at home.

Thanks for the info. I am seeing the dr. tomorrow. I have had my left wrist in a brace and it is not nearly as bad as the right. I need a brace for the right one but when I went to get it, the pharmacist said that my thumb was too gone for it to help and that I needed splints. I already had the appt. and decided the smart thing to do was not buy the bace until I talked to the dr. maybe it depends on the exact problem, but putting my hands / wrists in braces, has only made them worse. one of my hand PTs told me that is typical of tendon problems. all i know is that i have to leave my hands out of braces and just be careful not to use them too much.

Wendy, Get yourself off to your nearest Independent Living Centre, or see a friendly neighbourhood OT - maybe your rheumy might have one (s)he refers to.... or look online for this: OTs have this nifty gadget - like a long handled shoe horn thingy - that will help you there. You scrunch the stocking onto the lower bit, then lower the handle and slide your foot in, and as you pull back on the handle the stocking comes up your leg. Sorry I can't tell you what it's *really* called - that's why I'm a PT, and not an OT! Oh, and if you're doing the rubber glove thing with the pantyhose - best to remove them before you step out the door - unless they match your outfit, of course!!!

Thank you all. He is able to get his hose on himself! Yeah! He is on the walker still but I don't do much for him except carrying drinks, etc. The paraffin bath is a wonder. It is helping my pain so much. I am getting bands for my elbows hopefully on the way on from church. I got up at 6:00 (set the alarm to be sure) to get things to moving so I can get to church. If I don't, I just can't get there. I am excited that we are both going to go. This will be his first.
I appreciate all of your help. I wish I had known about the gloves a month ago. I am going to buy some anyway and see if it helps with my tights. I am getting ready to try to put on a pair. Yikes.
Have missed you all.
Hugs. Possi

If my hands get any worse then I guess I'm going to need one of these wax baths. As I just posted under #1 AS forum, I lowered my prednisone dose today from 4mg to 3mg and my hands have been SO painful all day.
