Hi,
To what extent Yoga is useful for AS patients. Is it helpful to get some flexibility. I have been thinking of trying Yoga, but yet to find a suitable person.

I've been trying to do a little cautious yoga, Jay. Not easy to do much because my joints are so painful. I can barely get down on the floor so I'm mostly relying on standing asanas. I'm combining them with some simple stretching.

I hv AS too, have consult Prof/Dr Ashok Kr in AIIMS, and others in gulf. Coming back to Delhi because of AS. I hv in touch with Dr Subhash Baveja (Mohinder hos).
I am mainly suffering in Neck, tuff movement... which doctor u suggests me to start my diagnosis in Delhi....

@Navin, I think you should consult Dr. OP Garg form Dr. BL Kapoor Hospital, Rajendra Place. He is extremely good at his job as well as a human being. I think you can also ask him your queries etc on his blog;

I too diagnosed last year with AS.Although i was having pain from 2 yrs.last year my conditions became very worst.I hav taken treatment from Dr. Rohini handa ,Sr. rheumotologist of apollo hospital.Previously he was in AIIMS.He is very gud at work and as human being.U may meet him.

My only suggestion is to swim as many days per week as possible. By "swim" I mean either swimming actual laps or deep water movement. My symptoms decreased by 1/2 during my first year of swimming almost every day. Good luck to you!
