Yep, they all have great homes and we kept Mama dog because bless her heart, nobody else wanted her! She's a little skiddish after all she's been through and she's adjusted here nicely anyway, so we're just going to keep her, I could rehab her so that she can go to another home but after all she's been through, I don't want to put her through anymore....besides, we get along fine...

Hi Lon, You are so sweet, you've got so much going on and here you are worrying about me, I'm proud that you're my friend! We're fine, I promise you Lon, we are fortunate, we had another home to go to but I'm just floored really that you can worry about others while going through a really tough time yourself, Lon, you're awesome! And I'm anxious to hear....how is Lin?

That's great that you were able to keep her! I have a skiddish dog and after 3 years with us, he's still that way! I think he was abused 19 ways to china before we got him.

That's so great to hear Lon! I pray that Lin's health continues to improve...I always find it to be so funny when a doctor warns a patient of the health risks associated with socializing.....as if the hospital isn't a germfest! I also was thinking this morning that I neglected to explain why whites & coats aren't considered "desirable"...it's because they are lacking the ability to camouflage themselves....unless you live in Alaska, a white GSD is going to stick out like a monk on a roller coaster...and speaking of Monks, you should read about the German Shepherds and the Monks......fascinating!

Aha...pretty good stringer, huh?! Okay, they're the Monks of New Skete, they raise German Shepherds and their training is based on a philosophy that they wrote collectively and basically, it has to do with building trust, bonding and then training...all of which I agree with but the rest of the GSD community thought they were kinda "out there" when all of this first began 35 years ago but as it turns out...it's a fantastic philosophy and they've been very successful with it...they've written books about it...it's really a neat story...here's their link....enjoy, Lon...

HI.
I am wondering how you and your family are doing?
I did go to the site. Thank you. Although having a trained dog would be wonderful, I have a cash flow problem, always have had. It has been my experinece that if I wait around, for one reason or another, someone gets rid of a good teachable dog. I have learned from you thanks.

Lon
