If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Thank you so much Doreen, I'm sitting here watching them talk about it on the news, I'm glad that you're not caught up in it. BTW...it's very nice to see you, I missed you.

I can't imagine what it must be like to be evacuated on short notice like that. It must be terrifying.
I'm hoping that all goes well and your family and you get away to a safe place. Let's hope everyone fares well and you and your neighbours "weather the storm" safely.

Yikes Michelle... keep yourself safe please!! I knew it too... the picture they showed on our news looked like it was heading straight for you, while the silly announcer was saying it wasn't. I yelled at my tv a few times even, but they weren't listening to me. Gosh I am so sorry you have to go through this scariness again. Yes, good thing you held off on the fish.

Yep Mig...I can conjure up a mental picture of you yelling at the TV! They still aren't saying that it's coming here, as a matter of fact, I just woke up and before I signed on KA, I tried to see what's happened while I was sleeping and they haven't updated all night....I think they're waiting until they know for sure....maybe they realised they were just sticking their feet in deeper everytime they said something stupid!
BTW....Sue said it was all your fault!

The 6:00 am briefing just ended and they informed us that the Hurricane Hunters detected 2 independent eyes in this hurricane, I've never heard of that before but evidently it's rare and dangerous, we've been told to expect at least a 16 ft. storm surge and could be 28 ft. and that this Hurricane might be worse than Katrina. I also saw the they have ordered evacuations for Houston, Doreen Bar is in that area, also any other members around Houston...heads up, this storm is twice as wide as the entire state of Louisiana and it looks like it may be more than half the size of Texas, well it's right at 400 miles wide and the weather is suppose to start taking a dive starting tomorrow, intensifying Fiday night/Saturday morning, just 12 hours later, so we don't have a head start on this one. If it holds the track to veer more to the left (Galveston/Houston), we'll catch the bad side of the storm but if it goes a little further south, I think we'd be okay to stay here and ride it out...it would only be a Cat 1, maybe even a Tropical storm, the only thing about that scenario that makes me think twice is that if the storm makes a sudden right turn(just like Rita did) it would be too late to leave.

Michelle, I hope all is going well. I haven't seen the news to see if things have changed with the evac for you or not. I hope things go smooth and everyone stays safe. Write us back as soon as you get settled so we know you are ok...Sue!
