Yes, it was great fun, and almost everyone saw the funny side despite it being purposefully misleading just for the fun of it.

Some people used the internet to rumble us by searching for peerages, in the end I apologised because someone didn't find it funny, but then my apology started to become part of my KA signature. Someone who really enjoyed it was Deanpaul. I still remember him inviting me over to Utah to come and apologise in person :):) Happy times.

Okay. My family sometimes calls me Goddess.......actually they say I am....

I also have porphyria, formerly called the royal malady.

When I came to the internet I found tons and tons of Goddess sisters.

So I tried PORPHGODDESS........and low and behold, I was the only one of those!!! LOL So I use the same name on most of the sites I visit.

Recently, a 15 year old upstart with porphyria has decided that SHE is porphgoddess. So I told her we could share, but that she would have to tolerate my continued use of the name.........because I HAD IT FIRST~!!!!!!! Kids, gotta love 'um.

I must make a correction in your reply. Tim Crotty, who coined the term "KickAS", is from Erie, PA. Not New York. I haven't seen him here in a long time but I know he goes by the user name "tjc." And yes, you are correct, he is part of the "flame" family and is/was Chief of HazMat.

Before I found ASWeb, Tim and I found each other and talked about AS alot. I'll never forget the day he said that we should create a magazine and call it Kickin'AS. When I came to the board I mentioned this conversation and yes, that is how the word KickAS came to be. Thank you Timothy J. Crotty for coming up with that 8 years ago. Look what that word has become...an awesome website!

Does anyone remember when Deanpaul first started posting and Steve asked him, "so what is it, Dean or Paul? What's with the name combo?" Something to that effect.

Deanpaul had the best reply I think I have ever heard. It was one of my favorite posts ever. It sure shut everyone up quick if they thought they were going to tease him for two names in one!
