Hi

I'm new to this KickAS as I have up until now been fairly independent in dealing with my AS. Through various stretching, exercise, physio and supplement regimes I am able to manage the pain so that I can get on with my life....but there is one aspect of the pain I cannot kick, and it is causing me increasing annoyance as it chips away at my ability to do the sports I love.

I get dreadful jarring/compression pain in the lumber back area from only the slightest trigger. For example, going over a slightly rough bit of road on my bicycle, or even misfooting on the stairs or stumbling off a kerb, sends an agonising shooting pain into the spine that takes my breath away, and I just can't seem to shift it. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any specific stretches or exercises that would help get movement into the lower lumbar spinal area and reduce this kind of pain a bit?

Thanks for reading
